2021/22 Coaches


  • 15U Girls – Mark Doornbos (Head Coach)

Mark has played volleyball at many different levels and has coached volleyball for several years. Mark has his Volleyball Canada Coaching Certification. From 2015 – 2019, he has coached his school team to four provincial medals. In his past four club seasons, he has coached his teams to four consecutive top 10 finishes with many players continuing their volleyball career within University/College. He looks forward to working with the 15U girls in the 2022 club season.


  • 15U Boys (Tentative) – Mark Berg (Head Coach)

Mark has played volleyball at many different levels and has coached volleyball for 10+ years. Mark has his Volleyball Canada Coaching Certification and currently coaches at Calvin Christian Collegiate. In 2017, Mark coached the Calvin Christian Collegiate’s JV boys to it’s first ever Provincial Championship. Four years ago, Mark coached the 14U Tsunami Boys and was able to grab 3rd place in Division 1 Tier 2 Nationals. During the course of that Club season, the 14U Tsunami team consistently held a 6th place rank out of 18 teams. In 2018, Mark led the 15U Tsunami boys to a Division 2 Tier 1 bronze medal finish in Nationals.


  • Assistant Coaches

All of our assistant coaches are alumni players or parents that have dedicated many hours of their time in the sport of volleyball. Their passion and patience towards the athletes is a strength that assists all of our Tsunami Head Coaches.
